Sought and found in translation

Jessica Norrie has written a lovely blog entry about her experience of having her book translated into French by Isabelle Rouault-Röhlich and into German by myself.

It is interesting to have a look at the process from the other side, although I did have the privilege of being able to consult with and ask questions and clarifications from the author in the course of the translation, which more than often we translators are not able to do.
